Perfection is overrated. In fact, there could never be a perfect time. It’s just a matter of getting perfection out of imperfection. The downfall of man starts when he or she wants everything to be perfect before starting what he/she wants to do.
For example, I have never seen a perfect day. It’s either too sunny or rainy. And the truth is, if I keep waiting for ‘the perfect day’, I’ll never achieve anything. Imagine not going to the market because it’s sunny or not going to the pharmacy because it has been a rainy day? It’s absurd.
Perfection is a culture that has been aided by social media by influencers and celebrities. Don’t let all that airbrush deceive you into thinking that they are perfect. Don’t wait till you’re perfect to start doing something.
I’m asking you to start doing something. Take the opportunity of today; it’s perfect enough. Don’t wait for the ‘perfect time’ because it’d never come! Just do something! Do whatever you can find to do. Stay busy!
The wise King Solomon said, “Be sure to stay busy and plant a variety of crops, for you never know which will grow– perhaps they all will”. This is just saying that if you haven’t found anything yet to do, do anything and everything your hand finds and watch out for the one that will favour you more.
This ”corona period” is a ‘perfect’ time to do something. Learn as many skills as you can! It’ll do you so much good. Instead of staying at home and using your cellular data to watch funny Instagram videos, why don’t you use it instead to watch an educative YouTube video?
Friends, get yourself busy! Stop waiting for the perfect time and the perfect day! Today is perfect enough, don’t let it slip through your fingers.
If you wait until everything is perfect, you will be stagnant. Don’t wait!
